Travel and Venue Information

Up-to-date travel guidance is available from Los Angeles County. It is strongly recommended that people continue to wear masks that fit and filter well in all indoor public places. High-efficacy masks (N95, KN95, KF94, or surgical-style masks) were required in plenary and poster sessions, and all other indoor spaces except individual hotel lodging rooms. In order to pick up their meeting badges, attendees had to be able to show proof of vaccination or negative test results within the last 48 hours. Attendees had to also certify they were free from recent close exposure to COVID-19, and free from COVID-19 symptoms.

The SCEC Annual Meeting was held at the Hilton Palm Springs Resort in Palm Springs, California.

Participants are recommended to fly directly into Palm Springs Airport (PSP), which is 2 miles from the meeting venue. The Hilton Palm Springs Resort offers a free shuttle service to/from the airport. Participants are asked to call the Hilton front desk (1-760-320-6868) to schedule a ride.

A block of rooms at the Hilton Palm Springs Resort was reserved for the SCEC Annual Meeting at the federal per diem rate of $114 per night. An additional resort fee and local taxes will apply. A limited number of rooms at the Hilton were available through the group reservation page. The “Quick Book” feature will automatically reserve Sunday-Tuesday nights for you. If you wish to check in on an earlier or out later date, be sure to edit your reservation dates.

There are also many other hotels within walking distance of the meeting venue. Use the Hilton address (400 E. Tahquitz Canyon) in your favorite travel booking site to locate one nearby.
