Incoming and Outgoing SCEC EDI Committee Members

Dear SCEC Community,

SCEC is committed to promoting an inclusive and responsive environment that values a diversity of people, ideas, cultures, and educational backgrounds. We are pleased to announce that four new members are joining the SCEC Committee for Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion. Incoming members Ahmed Elbanna (University of Illinois Urbana Champaign), Gabrielle Tep (Caltech/CSCN), M. Khalid Saifullah, (Kinemetrics Inc.) and Niloufar Abolfathian (Jet Propulsion Laboratory/Caltech) bring their fresh perspective and unique experiences to the committee. They join current members Rowena Lohman (Chair - Cornell University), Elena Miranda (Vice-Chair, CSU Northridge), Roby Douily (UC Riverside), and Ruth Harris (USGS). 

We are grateful to outgoing members Jean Paul (Pablo) Ampuero (Université Côte d'Azur, France), Michelle Cooke (U. of Massachusetts, Amherst), Deborah Gormley (SCEC), Manuel Mendoza (UC Riverside), and Lingseng Meng (UC Los Angeles) for their service to the SCEC Community.
