1. Faculty Position in Earth and Planetary Science | UC Berkeley
The University of California, Berkeley Department of Earth and Planetary Science invites applications for a position at the Assistant Professor level with an expected start date of July 1, 2017. We seek outstanding candidates from any area of Earth and planetary science. Candidates whose research falls into this discipline are invited to apply.
Applicants are asked to provide their most recently updated curriculum vitae, a statement of research interests, a statement of teaching interests covering experience and goals in teaching, statement of contributions to diversity covering any experience or aspirations relevant to campus goals for diversity and inclusion, and the names and contact information for three to five referees. Letters of reference will only be solicited for those under serious consideration. The minimum qualification required to be considered an applicant for the position is the completion of all Ph.D. or equivalent degree requirements except the dissertation. A Ph.D. or equivalent degree is required by the date of hire.

2. Tenure-track and Postdoctoral Research Positions in Earth Sciences | Institute of Earth Sciences (Academia Sinica, Taiwan)
Academia Sinica is the premier, state-funded research organization in Taiwan. The Institute of Earth Sciences (IES), one of the 31 institutes of Academia Sinica, has strong and active research programs in solid-Earth geophysics and geochemistry with state-of-the-art analytical and computational facilities. The institute also operates several field observation networks in Taiwan and other parts of Asia. Current research in IES includes seismological and geodetic studies, regional and global tectonics, geodynamics, gravity and geomagnetic analysis, high pressure mineral physics, isotope geochemistry, igneous and metamorphic petrology, cosmochemistry, and marine geochemistry. We invite outstanding candidates to apply for several research positions on all levels of seniority, including tenure-track research fellow (equivalent to university professor) and postdoctoral positions. Research areas that complement the aforementioned fields are welcome, although other related fields of Earth sciences will also be considered. Candidates must have a Ph.D. degree, and applicants to tenure-track positions must have an excellent record of independent research. 3. Faculty Positions at the Department of Geosciences | National Taiwan University
The Department of Geosciences at NTU is seeking active scientists to fill two faculty positions starting from August 1st, 2017. The positions are open to candidates from all fields in geosciences, but those who have strong background in the fields of mineralogy and petrology, geo-resources, stratigraphy, sedimentology, structural geology and hydro- and applied geology will receive more favorable consideration. Applicants are requested to submit the following documents: CV, list of publications, statements of teaching and research interests, names and contact information of three referees, and three to five articles published within the last seven years (one of which need to be designated as representative paper and must be published after August 1st, 2012).
