Postdoctoral research position at Cornell University

The Department of Earth and Atmospheric Sciences at Cornell seeks a postdoctoral researcher to conduct geodetic and modeling studies of tectonically active areas. Currently funded projects include examination of vertical deformation rates and fault zone processes in Southern California, vegetation characteristics and deformation in New Orleans, and both crustal or subduction zone strain in Cascadia. A completed Ph.D. in geophysics or a related field is required. We will begin reviewing applications after Sept. 15, 2009, but welcome applications until the position is filled. Starting dates for this position are very flexible. The position is for one year and is renewable, contingent on funding and performance.
