Postdoctoral Researcher in Numerical Simulations of Earthquake Rupture Dynamics and Ground Motion at Texas A&M university
The department of Geology & Geophysics at Texas A&M University invites applications for a postdoctoral position in numerical simulations of earthquake rupture dynamics and ground motion. The position is available immediately and some flexibility to starting date for competent candidates is possible. The successful applicant will work on current and upcoming research projects in earthquake rupture dynamics and near-field ground motion prediction. Depending on funding and the researcher's interests, other projects might be pursued secondarily. A Ph.D. is required at appointment. Experience in scientific programming is required. Knowledge of earthquake rupture dynamics is desirable. The appointment will be initially for one year and will be renewable depending on funding and performance.
