Post-Doctoral Research Associate Position in Seismology, UW-Madison

A post-doctoral research position in seismology will be available in the Department of Geology and Geophysics, University of Wisconsin-Madison, beginning in summer 2007. The position is a full-time 1-year appointment, with the opportunity of continuation, as a Post-Doctoral Research Associate. The successful applicant will initially participate in two projects, one a seismic tomography project in California and the other related to the SAFOD project in Parkfield. The expected starting salary is in the range $39,000 to $40,000, depending on qualifications and experience. The position is most appropriate for candidates not more than 2 years past Ph.D. Completion of all Ph.D. requirements is necessary at the time of appointment.
