The Society's founding members approved SSA's first governing documents 100 years ago on November 20. To commemorate this event, a special presentation of this years Joyner Lecture by NORM ABRAHAMSON will be held in San Francisco. Norms lecture is entitled "The Seismology-Engineering Interface: The Need for Two-Way Flow of Information."
Following the Lecture, Clarence Allen, Lloyd Cluff and a third speaker TBD will give short presentations on the evolution of seismology over the past century.
Birthday Cake and Refreshments will follow the presentations.
